I am a total wreck without him

okay me and my boyfriend have been dating a lil over a year and his mother just passed away in november and hes not doing to good but he wont open up to me and tell me anything and now he says he wants to break up to better himself in the time of our break up to find himself what do i do? do i just let him cause i am a total wreck without him he was the only person that cared and loved me as much as he does and the only one that makes me happy please help me

You will have to let him be by himself for awhile.

Believe him when he says he needs time to think.

Call him every so often to see how he is doing, to let him know that you still care for him and that you are there for him. Be cheerful and don't talk about your relationship. Keep the calls to 15 mins once a week or so.
