She is depressed about being single for valentines day

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
Over the past few months I have been friends with this girl at my school and I'm not sure if the following are signs she likes me or not. She always says hey to me in our classes or when I see her in the hall, she has sat next to me when we have school assembelys on more than one occasion, she remebers the one song we danced to at our school dance 3 months ago, she asks for help with school work even if I don't take the same class, and always says something to me when my basketball team is warming up befor the game.

I have also heard her talking about how she needs a boyfriend and is realy depressed about being single for valentines day.

It seems to me that she is very interested in you.

Although you didn't mention it, let's assume that you are also interested in her and want advice on what to do now.

She's been dropping hints that she wants a boyfriend before Valentines Day. So why don't you be that boy? You could say something to her like "It would be a shame if both of us were single for Valentines Day so would you like to go out with me?" Or buy her a nice box of chocolates and say to her "Will you be my Valentine?"

This will take some nerve to do but since you are a basketball player you are used to challenges and won't back away I hope.

Good luck! George
