She just won't respond

I'm thinking about giving up on the girl I have a mad crush on. I wish I had a reason not to give up, but I don't. I've tried talking to her, but she never really talks back. My mom thinks she doesn't want me around, and I'm starting to believe her. I want to get closer to her as a friend, but she just won't respond. I don't know if she's shy or just tired of me.And it being this close to Valentine's day doesn't make it any easier. I think she's sick of me, but I also think giving up just proves I don't deserve her. What should I do?

You feel like she is sick of you and your mom thinks so too.

She won't talk to you and gives you no encouragement.

My advice is to forget her and move on. Who knows, when you leave her that might make her value you more.
