I really don't want to mess this one up!!

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
ok me and my ex broke up five months ago..she started dating someone else and it seemed like it was gpin great with her and she told me that she was serious bout this relationship...then about a month later she calls me up and tells me how much she misses me and that even though things are good between her and the new person..it doesnt compare to us...so she tells me that she jus wants to talk to me and develop and better foundation of a friendhsip before we started anything..i know its short but ive been talking to her for almost a month..and its killing me because i want her back now..a big problem with us is that she didnt think that i love and accepted her for her..she has a really hard time letting people in...plus is was hard because it jus seemed as if nobody wanted us to be together..then she tells me that i always change while we are not together then i stop..but i dont feel i do..it jus that she wont completely give me her heart so she wont beleive me...how do i show her that i have changedand she means the world to me?...also what are some things that i should do while jus being her friend..she knows how i feel about her..i want to give her her space but i dont want to be to pushy...please help because i really dont want to mess this one up!!thank you

If you talke with her regularly, include the comment "I still love you and have really changed" in your conversation. Don't dwell on your relationship and be cheerful. Try to be her best friend by listening to her and allowing her to share her feelings with you.

If you don't take to her regulary, ask her if you could call her for 15 mins a week. Do the same as above but cut it short. This will give her the space she needs and the contact that you need.
