In 2005 I messed up

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
In 2005 I messed up. I met a nice guy who is older than me.I didn't have a problem with that. We met in June and it ended in August. I had and still have feelings for him. It was because of my ignorance and acting childish that drove him away from me. Months has passed by and every since we broke up , I did what I soon learned people shouldn't do. I called him all the time and begged for another chance. He would have given me another chance if I wouldn't have done something stupid. Now he does not want anything to do with me. It's 2006 and I feel like I will never completely get over him. I called yesterday for the first time this year just to call and say hey and plus i really wanted to hear his voice. I was thinking maybe if I called him once a month and check up on him that he would come around to maybe at least being my friend. I know it must seem dumb that I want someone who does not even want to give me the time of day. I can't seem to let go. I mean it's been about six months and I still lay awake at night thinking about him and sometimes missing him so bad I actually cry. I don't know what to do. Can you please give me a little helpful insight on what to do?

It may be time for you to see a professional counselor.

Six months is a long time to still be crying over someone who so obviously doesn't care about you.

Did you try my suggestion about fighting against the thought of him coming into your mind? Try it again... perhaps the thoughts are getting weaker.

Good luck! George
