We have fun together make each other laugh

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
Hey i'm an 18 year old guy, and i've been hanging out a lot with this girl and she is 22. She is admittedly very shy and hasnt had a boyfriend in 2 years. I really like this girl a lot, we have hung out a lot but really all we do is hang out at her house and watch movies and sit there, she has told me she likes me and suggests we hang out often, but i kind of want to take it to the next level (girlfriend, boyfriend). It's hard to get intimate with her, the only times we've kissed or cuddled was when she was drinking a little and one time we even slept together. We have fun together make each other laugh, but she is so beautiful i feel so nervous around her...i've always been one to be relaxed around new people but she just makes me get the butterflies and everything. The problem is she recently met an old friend from school (a guy) and they hung out on new years eve, i dont know what happened, but i know she wants to hang out with him again...i dont know if she is serious or not...but anyway...how should i go about this? do you think its the right time for me to try and ask her out?

If you want to ask her out it is long past due for you to do it.

Better act now before she finds someone new.
