I don't know if he really loves me

me and my boyfriend were together for almost a year. then he cheated on me, so i broke up with him. After a week he called and told me he still loved me. Then, after about 3 days him and that other female broke up.i had already lost my virginity with him. well, after their brake up, he told me that he couldn't live without me so i gave him another chance. this situation kept going on and on. and everytime i kept going back with him we had sex.some friends tell me that he really loves me but he keeps on getting with the other girl just for some butty.[if you know what i mean]but, idon't know if that's true. i don't know if he really loves me or he just sees me as his butty call.help,giggles.
