He caused the situation in the first place

Visitor's Question from a 41-50 year old Female
i met what i'd call mr right 5 month ago.we melted together on all aspects of love. He'd been on his own for 2 years.Than out of the blue he cancelled a date and sayed he wanted to stop seeing me.We met one last time and he explained his reasons being that he thinks i'm gorgeous, beautiful sexy and 12 years younger than him(he's 58)so as far as he's concerned i will eventually leave to go off with someone else just like all the others in his life.
a week later he rung me,we met and he wanted another chance.
he felt happier in the relationship but i couldn't stop thinking he'd do it again.everytime we arranged to meet i was convinced he'd fone and cancel. He tried to make up for it by telling me all the time how he felt about me etc.
Than one day i was so down and wrote an email and called it off.
I told him how i felt.
His response was:Presumably you had a way out already set up so it does seem time to take it:
# weeks on and i miss him nmore than ever.i want him back badly and have wrote to him 3 times to ask him for forgiveness but he's not answering my mail or my calls.i know from a friend he's devastated about the situation and has now started to see someone from work.I love him and like another chance.i feel unfairly treated as he caused the situation in the first place.
Please help.

RomanceClass.com Advice
You both are a little quick on the trigger finger.

He shouldn't have dumped you and you shouldn't have dumped him. Trying to pin the blame on him isn't fair either.

What you need help with is trust.

Try calling him and suggesting that you two go to a professional counsellor for assistance. This should convince him that you are serious about him.

Good luck! George
