I emailed you a couple days ago saying my friend who I like said I love you to me. She said it in a joking manner. We were talking and I said you'll love me for this and she said, "oh I love you already." I didn't really know what to make of it. After all she does have a boyfriend who she told me she is getting serious with. Is she just kidding around and being flirtatious with me because we are very good friends. I really love this girl and just want to be her boyfriend. It is so hard because I want her so much and I know I can't have her. To show my affection can I kiss her on the cheek or maybe even a peck on the lips would that be ok or would she get putoff by it?

Wait and see how she responds to it before doing it more.

Ask yourself how you would feel if your girlfriend had a good friend and he was pecking her on the lips. You'd feel pretty crummy about it. That is what you are doing in this situation.

Even though you love her, put her needs above yours. She will appreciate it.
