I am worried that it might ruin our friendship

hi,
i have this friend and we're really close she has pet names for me and smiles at me in class and always tells me that she should be the most precious person to me but she says it in a semi-jokingly manner. if you know wat i mean....we've been friends for 2 years and i dont know what to do i dont want to tell her yet because i am worried that it might ruin our friendship.....please if u have ANY advice AT ALL just tell me

Take it slowly and gently with her.

Tell her that you are "starting to develop feelings" for her. Or that you that you really like her a lot.

Neither of those phrases should threaten your friendship.

If she doesn't answer or is wishy-washy tell her you give her time to think about it and ask her the next time you see her. And then be sure to do that.
