I feel really jealous of the thought of any girls even talking to him

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I met my bf working abroad, we worked in the same bar. After 1 month, we moved in together and at 4 months he proposed and we got engaged. I know this is right as I truly love him. I have a big problem with jealousy now though. We're back in England and I have moved to London to be with him, but i am so jealous of his ex and any previous girls he's been close to. And also, now we have to get seperate jobs and will have to spend time apart, I feel really jealous of the thought of any girls even talking to him, even though i know he loves me and wouldn't do anything. Please help me, this is eating me up, i'm often in tears over it and I know that it upsets him.

RomanceClass.com Advice
The green eyed monster really has grips on you!

My first advice is to go see a professional counselor who can give you solid advice based on talking with you in person.

My second advice (which will probably not work for you) is to fight against the jealousy like it was an enemy. Whenever a jealous thought enters your mind tell it to go away and say that your boyfriend loves you and would not hurt you. Do this 100 times and eventually the bad thoughts will give up trying to bother you and go away. The reason I say it might not work for you is because you seem to have a particularly bad case of jealousy. And that is also why I advise you to see a professional counselor.
