I just dont know how to go about asking her if she wants to do something.

hey! here it is : i recently ran into a girl i went to highschool with at work. she works in a diff. department. anyway when i would talk to her on a break she would always smile and occasionaly look down or away and then come right back. i just dont know how to go about asking her if she wants to do something. thx

If you aren't comfortable asking her out now, waiting is a good idea.

But, if you want to proceed, simply ask her if she would like to go out for a drink or coffee after work.
