I feel like she does like me but is too shy to admit it

I'm 18 shes 16. We're really good friends but I dont get it, she would sometimes say hey loser, or say you're so dumb, or weirdo but in a "jokingly" way. I've asked her if she likes me when we're like sitting together on the couch watching tv, and she would just beat around the bush or change the subject. I've told her that I liked her as more than a friend. She flirts with me like sometimes but its frustrating me that i cant get a straight answer from her. I feel like she does like me but is too shy to admit it. So does she really like me? And why does she do this?

The next time you have a chance for this to be discussed, make a little game ouot of it. Hold out both hands and show two fingers on one hand and one finger on the other hand. Tell her to choose one finger if she doesn't like you and two fingers if she does like you.

My guess is that she will choose two fingers because you have made it easier for her to say it without saying it.
