I AM A 44 DIVORCED MAN AND HAVE MET THE WOMAN OF MY DREAMSVisitor's Question from a 41-50 year old Male
I AM A 44 DIVORCED AND HAVE MET THE WOMAN OF MY DREAMS, WE ARE IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER VERY MUCH. OUR PROBLEMS STEM FROM OUR PAST. SHE WAS MARRIED 17 YEARS HAS 3 WONDERFUL CHILDREN. HER EX WAS A VERBLALLY ABUSSIVE PERSON WHICH HAS CAUSED HER ESTEEM ISSUES. MY PROBLEM STEMS FROM A 1MOUNTH AND A HALF RELATIONSHIP WHICH SHE DESCRIBES AS A MAN TAKING ADVANTAGE OF A HER WHILE SHE WAS GRIEVING HER HUSBAND LEAVING HER WITHOUT WARNING. SHE FELL INTO THIS MANS TRAP AND HE HAD SEX WITH HER. SHE HAS TOLD ME THIS WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED TO HER IN HER RIGHT MIND AND SHE FEELS ASHAMED SHE LET IT HAPPEN. I PROBLEM IS THIS. SHE HAS TOLD ME SOME DETAILS ABOUT WHAT WAS DONE AND SAID TO HER DURING THESE ENCOUNTERS. SHE DESCRIBES IT LIKE THE MOVIE UNFAITHFUL. HIS REFRENCE TO HIS LARGE PENIS SIZE, WHECH SHE SAID WASNT SO LARGE. SHE SAID HE WAS SO FULL OF HIMSELF. I KIND OF FLUFFED IT OFF BUT IT IS BURNED INTO MY MIND. ALTHOUGH SHE HAS SAID THIS WAS A TERRIBLE THING, I FEEL IN SOME WAY SHE ENJOYED IT. I THINK IT STEMS FROM HER MOVIE REFFERENCE. SHE HAS BEEN WITH 4 MEN INCLUDING ME. SHE HAS SAID I AM SUPERIOR BY A LONG SHOT TO ANYONE SHES BEEN WITH. I HAVE LET THESE THOUGHTS BOTHER ME TO THE POINT THAT I HAVE TOLD HER I DIDNT WANT TO HEAR OF THIS PERSON IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM. SHE HAS SAID SHE WOULD RESPECT MY WISHES AND UNDERSTOOD. I HATE THE WAY THESE THOUGHTS KEEP AFFECTING ME AND HAVE TRIED NOT TO LET IT AFFECT ME. BUT THEY JUST KEEP POPPONG IN MY MIND ALL THE TIME. I WISH I DID NOT HEAR ABOUT THIS, I TOLD HER I RATHER NOT KNOW. ESPESICIALLY DETAILS. I KNOW HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT ME. SHE LOVES M.
Don't let jealousy destroy a great relationship.
Fight it like an enemy (which it is). Whenever a jealous thought comes into your mind, tell it forcefully to go away and leave you alone. Tell it what is past is past and you two love each other. After fighting them 100 times, they will eventually give up trying to bug you and leave you alone.
