I want a relationship and i think he does too but he doesn't know how to talk to me about it
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
I'm 14 and I like a 15 yr old guy (capital). We met 2 years ago when i was a 7th grader and he was an 8th grader we didn't know each other. So when i started 8th and he left and went to the highschool i forgot about him. but during the summer between my 8th grade and Freshmen year a friend had his e-mail and so i added him to msn. WE started talking and were looking forward to going to school together the upcoming school year. So the first few weeks of school he would come around with me and my friends and flirt and be totally adorable i fell for him and he knew it.. But we never talked about going out or anything a few weeks after school started i started dating another guy and Then capital stopped coming around but we still kept talking on msn. After a week or so i realized that i was missing capital and a few friends had told me that they had talked to him and asked him if he liked me and he had said something like " yeah but she has a bf".. SO i ended things with my bf because i was really interested to see what could be with him. Within a day or so he got transfred into one of my classes and we began to talk and hang out again. We woudl make eye contact with each other and he purposely tryed to maek me laugh. On msn he would say things like You looked really hot today and Say the sweetest things about me.. It's been a few motnhs now and were still just friends.. His Best friend has asked me to just walk up and ask capital to kiss me because he knows that capital wants to kiss me. And the thing is Sometimes capital doesn't act as though he likes me at school but then we get home and he wants me to joke around with him on webcam.. My best friend tells me that it's soo obvious he likes me and that he's just shy or that maybe he just wants to be Friends with bennefits.. But me i've been there and done that whole FWB and it NEVER works.. I want a relationship and i think he does too but he doesn't know how to go about talking to me about it. He's adorable and makes me laugh and we have fun and he says the sweetest things to me on msn.. but not in person should i be worried or maybe just that he's shy in person i mean he flirts in person but doesn't say the cute things he does on msn.. I really liek him and would do anything to be with him.. But what should my next move be? How do i ask him what he's thinking? Deos it seem like he may like me? How can i tell? I think you have figured the situation out just right.
Rather than trying to figure out how the ask him what he is thinking, why don't you tell him how you feel? You have plenty of opportunity since you communicate with him so much.
Also, you could mention to him that you would be very happy if he would say the nice things to you at school, but that you understand how it might be uncomfortable for him to do it. Maybe he'll take the hint.
