The problem is that we don't know each other that well

There is this guy in university... he's one year older than me.. we've worked together in some activity.. I had no feelings for him at this activity time.. but now one year later, he catched my attention.. i respect him so much, i feel that he's a great person although he's a little bit shy, he's a successful person, not like other boys of this generation..he's decent, charming, loving, kind..Something inside me tells me that he's the one.. i feel that we totally match together..and my friends say so..I see him as perfect life time partner.. Each day i love him more and more..
He's too good to be true.
The problem is that we don't know each other that well..when we were working together we were working with a big group,, now this work is over.. we see each other may be everyday.. although i don't know him deep well i believe we can be a great couple.
I'm not sure he loves me or not.. sometimes i have that feeling that he does..the way he looks at me..the way he follows me with his eyes..the way he says hi..his smile.
At his birthday party, when he came he looked at me and was happy..i don't know if it's true or i'm convincing myself..And when i was leaving, he asked me who'll drive u home? i don't know if he's that type who cares about everyone or it was sth special..i felt it was special... the second day he called my friend cz he didn't have my cellphone number and asked her to thank me a lot for coming from his part..
I don't know if i truly love him..or i'm just convincing myself cz i need some feelings.
One thing that makes me believe that he's too good to be true.. beside his special personality..is that he cld be a good husband.
I don't know what to do.. he'll soon graduate and then nothing will be in my hand... I'm a respectable girl, i can't go and take first steps... but what shall i do? shall i wait and see.. but he'll soon graduate?

It sounds like he likes you.
But don't leave things to chance. If you don't feel it is correct to take the first steps then try this simple approach which will at least keep you in his mind.
Everyday when you see him look him straight in the eye, say "Hi" plus his name in a clear voice, and give him a big smile. This is rather subtle but it does let him know that you respect him and that you like him a little.
