i am married and my husband has cheated on me in the past. Recently he has been neglecting me in every way, he comes home late from work goes to work early he has become verbally abusive and somtimes there is pushing or shoving, he is very mean at times and inconsiderate of my feelings. My ex boyfriend has come into the picture we have talked for over a year and exchanged letters. I have been intimate with him once and i feel like i love him. but i also love my husband as mean and cruel as he is. the thing is i am confused. me and my ex's past was very bad we were young and had a child together. there was also abuse due to drug use he is now been clean for many years now and stated he has changed. He wants me to leave my husband to get back to him.. does it sound like im setting myself up?

You need to see a professional counselor to help you figure out this mess.

My guess is that you will end up leaving your husband who is clearly an abusive husband. But it isn't that clear whether you should go back to your ex.

A counsellor can help you focus and analyze the problem after having talked with you a while.
