I have a friend who I have gotten to be pretty close with over the past few months and I've liked him for even longer. He's been having troubles in the dating field (a very forward girl he was "seeing" ditched him for his friend) and he's obviously upset about it and probably won't heal from it soon. However, even before, during, and after whatever he had with the other girl. I've stayed the night in his dorm room repeatedly. and one night (while he was "seeing" the other girl) he initiated cuddling for several hours. I confronted him about it later and he said he didn't remember anything about that night and that he probably did it in his sleep. During this conversation, I told him that I liked him, but there was really NO response to it. He is not the type of guy to "play" a girl, so I am obviously confused by this. The other girl has since then left the picture and we seem to be spending more time lately. There is some blatant flirting (pillow fights and a little physical contact included) and he seems to enjoy my company, but I don't know what to make of it. I know I need to get over him, but it's easier said than done. So, I guess I'm not really asking a direct question, I just need help! Particularly with what the heck the sleep-cuddling was all about! Why should you want to get over him... things seem to be going well between you two and the girlfriend is no longer in the picture.
My advice is to continue seeing him and flirting with him and wait and see what develops.
