OK, first, this is very normal. Almost every real love relationship begins with great friends, because the core of a true love is a solid friendship. It's all about being able to talk to each other about anything, about sharing hopes and dreams and fears. So you're going through what just about everyone else on the planet has gone through :)

You want to show that you want more than just friendship. So move to that slowly so that it's a gradual and natural process. Don't just grab her one day and scream out "I Love You!" That's a big scary for someone :)

Instead, take her to dinner to somewhere more romantic than usual. Go to a romantic movie. Spend a long evening just walking with her. If you pass a flower shop, go in on a whim and buy her a single flower. If she feels uncomfortable with one of these situations, she'll let you know and you can back off without any stress. But if she's happy, she'll encourage you, and you can move closer together in a very stress free and happy way!
