i'm afraid to let him know that I like him

Hey,
I have just started school, and I have a big crush on this boy in my Chemistry class, but we've never spoken before. At times I catch him staring at me, but i'm afraid to let him know that I like him. What can I do, to let him know? Can any advice will be helpful.

If you are not doing so already, you should smile at him whenever you see him looking at you. Say hi plus his name and a smile whenever you pass by him.

This will let him know you like him without having to say so.
