My husband has admitted to sleeping with four women in two years

My husband and I are in counseling and working through his infidelity in our marriage. My question is whether it is fairly common place that a man cheats with more than one woman when he does cheat. My husband has admitted to sleeping with four women in two years. He was faithful in the first 6 years and cheated in the last 2 of our 8 years. Two of those affairs had some emotional friendship qualities, too. Is it normal to have multiple affiars?
