I don't talk much to guys and crush on guys that are way out of my league

Ok, so I am 16 years old and have never had a boyfriend at all. I am pretty shy unless you get to know me. I am really deperate to find a boyfriend even though that should not be one of my top things as a young girl, but I can't help it. I fell for my best guy friend and really thought he could be it but he changed and that really crushed me. I don't talk much to guys and crush on guys that are way out of my league. I seriously think of how i may spend the rest of my life alone. I'm kind of stumped and would really like some help. Thanks from Wanting a Boyfriend

Try paying attention to boys who are in your league.

There are tons of boys without girlfriends. And nice, attractive, intelligent boys. Of course you are shy, everyone is shy at the beginning. You have to develop the courage to meet a lot of boys and sooner or later you will click with one.

Say hi to any boy whose name you know and say hi (using his name) and give him a big smile. Some will be too shy to say hi back, but most of them will. Give this a chance for a month or two and see what happens.
