me and my girlfriend were lying down kissing on the edge of the lake and her dad caught us. When we walked back up to her house her mom took me home early. i dont think her parents trust me anymore. what should i do to fix this mess and how can i regain their trust

You don't say how old you are, but I don't think it is a big deal.

Parents are embarrassed by displays of physical affection such as kissing so they just didn't know how to handle it.

You can try to apologize if you want, but I'm not sure how to say it. You might just ask them if they were upset that you two were kissing.
