He will go for days and not speak to me because he's pouting

Visitor's Question from a 41-50 year old Female
I've been seeing this man for 2yrs. which we are both married and not happy. He is always accusing me of sleeping with other men. I recently started back to college and he is very upset about it. I try to assure him that I only want him in my life but he doesn't believe that. He will go for days and not speak to me because he's pouting, after awhile he goes back to the sweet wonderful person I fell in love with. What can I do to make him see that I want us to be together and he's the only one. Also what can I do to let him know how much it hurts my feelings everytime he accuses me of something I haven't done because he dosen't think he's done anything to hurt my feelings. We're still together through all this, do you think he really believes i'm cheating or do you thinh he's afraid of making a committment.

RomanceClass.com Advice
It may be a combination of both. He doesn't trust you and he is afraid of a committment.

He should have the sensitivity to recognize that you are hurt by his accusations. Try to place emphasis on this point because it is important for the jealous person to understand that they are hurting their partner.

You could offer to call him one every two hours to let him know that you are ok and not cheating. Perhaps the ridiculousness of the offer might make an impact on him. Curing jealousy has to come from within and all you can do is to continue to give him reassurances.

Sorry you are in this situation!
