I regret breaking up with someone I dated 5 times. Though we were physically attracted to one another, the guy rarely asked me questions about myself and talked about his ex wife a lot. Based on stuff he would share, I got the impression they were still in contact with one another. I found this annoying not to mention in a period of 1 month he traveled several times on business. I kept thinking he was going to visit her. Should I have dumped him because of this and if so, how do I try to get back into his life.

To get him back, have a heart-to-heart talk where you tell him what was troubling you and humbly ask his pardon.
