I'm 14 and haven't found love yet

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
i know this may sound awkward, but i am about 14 and my friends and people i know r way ahead of me in "experience". by that i mean that people have actually had sex, while im stuck without my first kiss, and i am a guy by the way.

it seems unfair that i am left without such things, not merely sex, but love. and im not exactly sure what a girl is interested in, for example i know many people that have nothing in the means of personality, but are popular and good looking. i certainly try to be nice, but no matter what, i keep thinking about my looks as the problem.

Another thing that bothers me is that it seems that all the girls that i know are sort of, well "flashy" and they like to "show off".like flirting with the whole crowd, such as lifting their shirts to show some skin, and i dont know y it aggravates me in such a way, but it does. and many times i feel left out, and even though i keep thinking i have plenty of time, i keep reverting to the idea of myself being deprived of something.

RomanceClass.com Advice
Lots of people don't date until they are 16 or 18!! Don't worry about this at all if you're 14. It sounds like some of the crowd you're with are fast movers but it doesn't mean you have to be. In fact if the girls in your crowd are flashy and like to show of skin, maybe it's just as well you aren't dating any of them.

There are MANY many girls out there who would love a guy like you - someone who would care about them as a person and not want them to make a fool of themselves. Lots of girls are 15 and 16 and have never been kissed, are waiting for the right guy instead of just giving in to the annoying ones that bug them.

Keep your eyes open. Let the girls make fools of themselves, hopefully they'll get some more self respect and pride when they grow up a bit. It's easy for a girl, as she starts looking 'womanly', to think this is cool and to want to show it off. But you learn ALL too quickly in life that it sucks to be graded on your body shape instead of by the type of person you really are. And you'll find that, being a guy that respects that, you will have quite a number of girls who will be very attracted by that.
