i thought he liked me and he has not called or explained himself

i went out with this guy, we talked before and after our date and we had a great time on the date he called 3 times (after the date) and asked me out again but when i saw him on the day after the last phone call he was very short with me and said "I"LL JUST TALK TO YOU LATER!" and i replied the same but i said "FINE, I'LL JUST TALK TO YOU LATER!" why would he be acting this way?? -i thought he liked me and he has not called or explained himself. what should i do? what if it is something i did? how do i find out? thanks.
