i'm 14 years old
hi, i met this girl at a end of school pool party, i thought she was kinda cute,i heard her talk to her friends and she seemed nice, i told my friend who hosted the party this and her gave me her aim name, i started to talk to her and this is what came out of it, i don't think it sounds to good tell me what you think, i've never talked to her before this. i cut her off quick cause i didn't want to screw anything up worse than what they already were

me: *person who hooked me up's name* gave me ur sn and said i should talk to you
her: about what?
me: i'm the fat ass from the party on thursday.

me: he just said we should chat cause were both punks
me: *my name*
her: okay then.
me: yup...

me: i feel like a stalker :-X
her: umm..my chemical romance ..the used...kittie...nirvana..the killers..yeah.
me: yeah there good i like helana from them
me: i like pantera, slayer, seether, and slipknot stuff like that
her: i hate slipknot.
me: oh
me: ya i know not many people like em
me: i g2g ttyl maybe

I think you did just fine for a first conversation.
Don't give up talking with her, because she seems to be interested in talking with you. Music seems a good topic to discuss but be ready to talk about other things too. It's good to be prepared for things to say. For example, common friends, school, family etc.
