I like her. Does She like Me? I got to know this girl at a restaurant whom I started to like almost immediately. I asked her if she wants to hang out after work and her only response that she gave was the time she got off work, so I gave her my number. I went back several times after this first incident, she never did come over and talk but every time I looked at her she was looking at me and made eye contact. The second to last time I went back she came over to my table on her own several times to talk. I used to go in with a friend and the first question she asked me was why I am alone today, where my friend was. My response was that I was hoping she would join me so I didn't invite my friend. Throughout the meal she came over about 3 times to talk. The last time she came over she noticed I was writing on a paper and she asked me what I was writing. My response was that I am writing down my phone number for her just in case she lost the number I gave her the first time. She stated that she still had my number and that she currently wasn't looking for a relationship. She gave me a couple pats on the back and left. When I left the restaurant she came over and opened the door for me. I told her bye and her response was, see you later. I had the paper in my hand and she again made eye contact, and as I was passing she was looking at the paper. To me it almost seemed as if she was expecting it or hoping. I went back a week later on the same day and I did not notice her around. Was she hiding from me? It has been a month and I haven’t been back since.

My read on this situation is that she likes your attention and is attracted to you. But she isn't ready for a relationship right now.
That doesn't mean she won't go out with you, but you are going to have to ask her for her number next time or just ask her out.
Keep at it, at discrete intervals, and she may succumb.
