Getting to Talk To this Guy

I really like this guy, he works part time in a shop while at uni. i only see him when he is at work, we smile and stare at each other. you can tell there is chemistry but neither one of us has ever approached. I am always with my mum when i see him and i doubt he can say anything when working.
How do i make conversation when he is working?!?!?, hence how do i get him to ask me out as i cud neva ask him! Please Help

There's no rush to dive into dating :) You want to TALK to him first! You don't even know anything about him yet, just that he smiles at you. So start a friendship!
Go into the shop without your mom! That has got to be the first step. There must be some way you can get there without her. And then go chat to him, say hi. You need to work on being able to talk to him before you get to the dating part. After a few times that you're in there talking to him, tell him you're going to grab a cup of coffee at a nearby shop, would he like some? Then he can tell you when he gets off work if he wants, and so on. But you need to start with the regular talking before you get to talking-over-coffee ...
