Tell me how do you get over someone you can't get enough of???

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Ok me and this "guy" dated on and off for about 8-9 months. He tells me that he loves me and I really do love him. We use to fight all the time and we got pretty tired of it and we broke up. Usually we get back together but this time we didn't. One day at school I found out that he is going out with a six grader and I guess he is over me. The thing is sometimes when we talk or something it seems like he hates me but he says he don't. I don't know how to get over him.I cry sometimes at night when I go to bed..he is all I think about. What I want to know is is he really over me and moved on? Tell me how do you get over someone you can't get enough of???

RomanceClass.com Advice
Yes, you need to get over him.

He has found a new girlfriend and you now have to deal with the pain. Be comforted by the knowledge that the pain will go away but might take a few weeks or a month. As it goes away, it will hurt less and less. You are in the worst of it right now.

When those sad thoughts come in your mind, try to fight them away by telling them that you are getting over him so to stop bothering you. Eventually those thoughts will give up and stop coming because you keep rejecting them.

Talk with your friends, relatives about your feelings so you can share them... that is another way of getting rid of those feelings.

Good luck!
George
