Hey, I'm a freshman who really likes this girl but I can't figure out if she likes me or not... The thing is she actually really likes one of my friends, and she talks to me about him sometimes. He doesn't really like her, and i know that, but i don't want to tell her, but she keeps asking me what she should do about him. She used to not talk to me unless i started talking to her first, but now she starts talking to me (most of the time about my friend). I'm trying to be as nice as i can, but i don't know if it's even worth thinking about.

Continue to talk to her and be as nice as you can.
Soon she will find out that the boy she is interested in doesn't feel the same way about her. If you are good talking terms with her, she may share her troubles with you.
This is where good communications can turn into a good relationship. Trust, caring, honesty, attentiveness, and respect in talking will spill over into your relationship and it will probably be a good one.
So, keep doing what you are doings and things should be fine.
