I broke up with my boyfriend of three years on super bowl sunday

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I broke up with my boyfriend of three years on super boul sunday. Since then we have seen eachother once or twice a week. We still have sex when we see eachother. I tired to get my ex back after breaking up with him becuase I still love him. He told me we would never be together again. I just don't understand why we keep in touch still almost three months later. he says he hasn't even dated other girls yet. In the mean time I have dated multiple guys and currently have another boyfriend (wich my ex does not know) but my heart still belongs to my ex. My ex's friends have told me that if he wasn't still interested in me we wouldn't still hang out all the time. I have told my ex many times that I still have feelings for him and want to work things out but he never says much. With my current boyfriend I don't take the relationship very seriously because I tell myself that one day my ex and I will get back together. My question is, should I keep seeing my ex in hopes of getting back together or should I invest my feelings in my current relationship and forget all about my ex? When people break up do they usually cut off all ties or are things supposed to gradually close down before they don't see eachother anymore? I'm just really confused and was hoping you could make sence of this and why my ex still has me in his life.
Thank you I am 21.

It's a crap shoot.

Your ex might turn out to be your forever love... or not.

Right now you have the option to play it both ways. Try to work things out with your ex while you continue with your current boyfriend.

Who knows which will work out... or maybe nothing will work out.

Just remember that "life's a bowl of cherries" and you should enjoy your life to its fullest.

Good luck!
George
