I love him so much, I can't eat and all I want to do is sleep
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
My now ex-boyfriend and I hadn't been dating very long (4 1/2 months actually), but I fell in love w/ him. He broke up w/ me yesterday. He says it's for 2 reasons. 1) We argue too much and he just can't take the fighting anymore. And 2) His ex-girlfriend just had their baby on may 14th and he says being w/ me will just cause too much on his mind. We only saw eachother about once a month and now I want to know how I can get him back. He says "we are taking a step back and seeing where it goes from there." I don't know what to do because this has happened before w/ him. I love him so much, I can't eat and all I want to do is sleep. My kids can't even get me to smile. He says he still wants to stay good friends and still wants me to call him every few days if not every day. What should I say to him to make him want to get back together w/ me. I know he still loves me, but I just don't know what to say or do to get him back. Please help me.
Make sure he knows you still love him and keep talking with him.
He has left the door wide open for you two to get back together when he said you should call every day. He wants to hear from you and be with you. He is just confused by the new child in his life.
Be there for him for communicating. Be attentive, supporting, confident, and loving. He should respond in a similar fashion. Don't overdo it with the loving part. Perhaps at the end of each conversation you could say "you know I still love you, don't you?"
I wish you the best of luck!
