Sometimes i think that i cant be good enough for him even if i tried

I have never really been in love with someone until now, but i dont think he even loves me. We have been friends and fought a lot in the past over stupid things. I screwed up the friendship and lied. Now i think there is no hope to make him even like me at all. Everyone tells me guys want a girl they cant have, so i told him that i dont have any feelings for him (that is a definite lie). Sometimes i think that i cant be good enough for him even if i tried. Is there anything i can do to make him fall in love with me? I want him to fall in love with me so badly.. please help me..

The answer is to rebuild your friendship.

Most everybody is willing to give someone another chance. So become a very good friend of his. Have good conversations with him that include honesty, verbal intimacy, respect, and good humor. These things will build the trust and friendship that you need with him.

Once you are good friends, you can gradually give him the idea that you care for him a lot and hopefully he will respond the same way.
