Accept apology or not

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
i was in love with my best friend. i thought he loved me too. i was kool when he didnt but then a month later i heard that he called me ugly behind my back and meant it. i felt crushed. everyone else said i was pretty but his opinion is the only one that really matters to me. i feel so ashamed and hurt. im not talking to him and i dont want an apology. but hes not taking no for an answer. should i forgive him and let it go or should i tell him i hate him?

You would be a good person to accept his apology.

He did a wrong thing and now he wants to apologize. You should at least listen to his apology, but that doesn't mean you have to accept it. But, it would be a nice thing if you could do it. People do mean things without thinking about it and then they feel sorry for it. It would be a cruel world if apologies were never accepted.

But, it is up to you.
