How to become friends with an extremely busy girl

I've asked a question about this girl before, but I've learned something heartwrenching today... She has begun dating her ex-boyfriend... Since there's now absolutely no chance for me to get with her because of this and our age difference, all I can settle for is friendship. What can I do to become GREAT friends with her even when she's dating him?
P.S. She's EXTREMELY busy.

Some of these are: caring, communicating feelings/thoughts, honesty, reliability, affection, being interested, and trust.
I have no good advice on how to do this with an extremely busy person, but give it a try anyway.
