Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
My ex broke up with me about a month ago, but we were perfect together, he said I was his match...But I was stupid, irrational, jealous and combative in the relationship and he said it wasn't going to work out so he broke up with me. I'm devastated. He wanted to be friends and I tried but I started getting mad everytime we spoke, and even desparate and needy, asking him if he was with someone else.
Now, he's just starting to text message me again but everytime I get one and send one back and he doesn't respond or call the next day I get SO sad and hurt, obsessing about what he's doing, who he's with, why I wasn't good enough for him.
Im trying to change all the bad qualities that I brought into the relationship, and I would give up everything for another chance...he's the "ONE"
What do I do to get him back?
Continue to contact him as often as is reasonable and remain friends.
You are far from ready to try again with you. You still don't have control over your emotions. You said you were stupid, irrational, jealous and combative. That's quite a mess. You might want to seek out a therapist or school psychologist to help you with these emotions.
Until you get control of those emotions, my advice is to not push him for dating. Just stay friends for now.
