16 yr old loves 24 yr old

I'm 16 and he's 24. I met him in a show I did. He would always hug me, hold my hand and all those sort of things during the show, especially since he played my husband. Because of that I grew an infatuation for him. Now it's developed into a love. It's been past a year since we were in that show and a few months ago I told him how I felt, but I didn't expect anything from him. He took it lightly and we still remain 'aquaintances' because we hardly see each other anymore. Is it just that. I mean, because I've told him already, does that mean he's just not interested and whatnot, even though I didn't actually ask him out. I don't know what to do now. I'm still in love.
