Boyfriend isn't sure I love him

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Person
I really love my boyfriend and I know he loves me, but when I say i love him, he tells me he believes me, but he doesn't know that I love him. I have told him what he means to me, but how can I reassure him that I love him to the point where he knows I love him?

This is not an easy thing to deal with.

Perhaps he grew up feeling unloved and finds it difficult to really understand what love is. You will need to teach him.

Do all the loving things you can... tell him often, be affectionate, share your soul with him. Don't let him get away with not returning your love.

Give it time and he will come around.
