Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
There is this guy that i know who i thought liked me or was intersted in me because he has been so recognizably flirting with me examples: smiling at me all the time, making a point to say hi, he noticed when i got a haircut and made a point to say he thought it looked nice, he's stays after 5-10 minutes just to talk a little bit. However, in a conversation the other day, it came across that he rather has a girlfried or is seeing someone and i guess this just confused me b/c i thought he was just plainly flirting with me. I'm not really sure what i should do b/c i was into him too and i was kindof trying to get guts to ask him to hang out or give him my phone number but now i don't know if i should even do that b/c i don't want to 1)have misread the whole situation and look like and idiot or 2) if he does have a girlfriend i don't want to mess with that. Its kindof driving me crazy b/c i don't really get to see him all that much and really we could go a whole day and not see each other at all, its just the fact that if he does see me he does make the effort to come and say hi and talk even though it might just be 5 mintues. What should i make of this situation?

First of all, ask him straight out if he has a girlfriend. It didn't sound certain from your description. If he doesn't, the proceed with your plan to ask him out. If he says yes he has a girlfriend, then say "That's too bad because I was going to ask you out."

That way you are letting him know that you won't mess with his relationship but that you are there for him if he breaks up with the girl. Meanwhile enjoy the flirting and talking... nothing wrong with that.
