How to convince him I am not cheating?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 3 months now and I have been completely faithful to him through the whole time. Before we started dating, I had a personal ad online. Ever since my boyfriend and I met and "hit it off" I have been trying to cancel the personal ad online. Recently he found my personal ad online and noticed that it was active for other members to write me. He was hurt and upset with me. Not only did I not tell him I had a personal ad online (that I was trying to cancel)...but I appear to him as a "cheater" because for all he knows I am on there flirting and talking to different men. I tried to explain to him that I am sorry for not getting this cancelled fast enough and for still having my personal ad visible to others to view. I can honestly say that I have not cheated on him - nor have I even thought of doing such a thing to my boyfriend. I absolutely adore my boyfriend and I have a lot of love and respect for him and wouldn't dream of hurting him by cheating. Even my sister and friend knew that I wouldn't cheat on him and tried to convince him of the truth and that this whole thing is just a mistake on my part and I will take care of it. I was just lazy about cancelling it...I wasn't good about getting it done fast enough. Half the time I forgot I even has the stupid ad because I wans't online or I stopped going on the site. I don't feel confident that he even believes them. See, he has been cheated before and has been "taken for a ride" in his last relationship....so I am paying for my honest mistake because he's regaining feelings that he's experienced in the past with his ex. Feelings such as question, doubt and betrayel. I need him to know I am for real. I need him to know how much I care. How on earth can I prove to him I am the faithful, honest women he originally met and I would never, ever cheat on him? I don't want him not to be able to trust me anymore. Thank you.

Show him this email. That should convince him. It is understandable that he has been burnt. Just help him with that hurt and keep telling him you care. He should come around.

Good luck,
George
