Envious of boyfriend's opportunities

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I have been with my boyfriend since high school for three years, and we still get along very well. Since then, I've started school, and he has joined the military. My dream in life is to go to new places and see new things, and he cares little for them, and wishes that he was home more often. He has recently received orders to go to a few beautiful different countries, and he feels happy to go, but still indifferent; if he didn't go, he'd be just as happy to be home. I cannot travel because of school, but I would die to go to these places. I am so jealous of his opportunities, and I don't feel like he will appreciate them. I hate feeling so jealous of him, because it makes me so angry with him, and I don't want to take my envy and anger out on him. Please help me with this problem, because I've never had to feel so jealous in my life, and I don't want to ruin our relationship!

RomanceClass.com Advice
This is something you are going to have to learn to deal with. Each time you feel envious tell yourself that it's just a part of life you have to deal with. Don't waste your time envying what others have, it's a waste of time.

Good luck,
George
