Say hi to him

i'm in high school now. This one boy from primary school goes to the same High school.His got this one friend that i've got a small lust, turning into a crush.I never spoke to him only got introduced.When ever he walks past, we bothe look at each other.How do i let him know that i like him.(i can't exactly talk to him)I've also noticed that a lot of other girls like him,but how do i let him know that i exsist and that i'm interested in him.Should i talk his friend (that i know)and tell him that i'm interested/should i just ask questions about him, and then would he realize after a while that i like his friend. What do i do?

Telling his friend is ok, but it would be better if you would walk up to him and introduce yourself. Then whenever you pass each other say "Hi" using his name. You will find out soon enough how he feels about you.
