How to start a conversation

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
I want to ask this girl out, and first to get to be good friends with her, but every time I come near her, I can't think of anything to say to her. I also feel like I can't really go near her, for some reason. How can I build up a confidence?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Start off by just saying "Hi" as you pass by. After a week or two, walk to her and say "Hi, I'm Sam, what's your name?). Then say "Great, see ya." and walk away. Next say "Hi Judy" as you walk by for a week or two. Nex is the hard part. Finding a conversation is always difficult unless you are very outgoing. You will have to think of something that is simple and doesn't require much thought on her part (or yours either). Like "Nice day isn't it?" or "I like your sweater." Try putting those two together the first time so you don't seem like you are too shy. After all this, you should be ready to ask her if you can call her or meet her on the Internet. Be brave!!

Good luck,
George
