Sit and wait

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Hello again-

I wrote in before about my ex who was ignoring me.
Well, I called him up and at first he was mad but then
he said he was sorry for reacting the way he did and
he just wasn't sure how to react because that was his
first break-up. So he said he'd seriously try to be my
friend.

I'm happy about that, but I do still wnat him back. I'm
really confused, though. Because when I ask people for
advice they all tell me something like 'Why do you
bother? Just move on. He doesn't want you back'. I
mean is it stupid for me to even attempt getting back
with him?

I just get confused because after we made up on the
phone he said something like 'maybe if we're friends
then we can date again sometime',and he's been saying
things like that since we broke up.

He explained to me that in his mind you should be friends with a person first and get to know them and then date them if you want. We never really had that and I think he sorta wants that, as do I. But maybe I'm just blind or something.

I don't think he's messing with me in saying 'maybe we can date again later', but he thinks I'm with somebody else right now. I'm just confused over what I should do. I was just going to sit back and be his friend and see what happens but people keep telling me it's hopeless and he's never coming back.

IS it hopeless? I love him a lot but I don't know what to do about trying to get back together!?

Thanks.

RomanceClass.com Advice
No, it is not hopeless until you decide it is. He is being great about wanting to be friends with you and with the possibility of being more than friends. Don't listen to those who tell you differently. In fact, don't ask their opinions. Your opinion is the one that counts.

Good luck,
George
