What's the deal with sex?

what is the big deal with sex? i feel like sometimes i just want my boyfriend so bad but then i back out cuz i have been told its this huge deal but i dont know why. can you please tell me so i make the right decision thx

There are several things that make sex a big deal. One thing is the legality of it. In many states it is illegal for girls under sixteen to have sex with boys over 16 (different states have different rules). Another thing is with sex comes the possibility of pregnancy (using a condom in every case is advised). Sex is considered the most intimate contact you can have with another person and if you do it with too many people there are those who will you judge you badly for doing that. Finally, once you are married, if you have sex with someone other than your spouse, divorce could follow. Other than those considerations, sex is perfectly normal behavior for mature individuals.
