She Calls Me Daily but Won't Go Out

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
I met this girl at school and I really like her. We have been friends for about 6 months now. She calls me everyday and we talk for about 1-2hrs.

Normally I would think she likes me but after asking many of times I have only been able to get her to hang out with me 2 times. Also she tells me about guys that hit on her and ex boyfriends. When one of her exs called I made the comment "that must of made you happy" and she said no not that one. On the other hand he asked her to go back out with him or for that matter just to see him and she said she couldn't do that.

It is 3am and I can't sleep this is eating at me. She knows I like her what should I think? Does she like me more than a friend? Is there anything I can do besides what I have already done?? Please help

RomanceClass.com Advice
It sounds like she's skittish about getting into another relationship - maybe she's still healing up from the previous one and is taking a break. But if she talks to you for that much time every day, you're definitely a very special person in her life.

I would be patient and keep being there and being her friend. Spring is coming up, Valentine's Day is coming, all sorts of romantic times. So this is the time to sort of show her that if she's already talking to you tons, and trusts you, and in essence spends most of her free time with you, there isn't any harm in then going out and doing things with you. That it wouldn't harm the friendship, that is. It could only enhance it.

Help her to see that you're always there for her, that she's comfortable talking with you and so on. That's really the foundation of the best relationships! So you already are all the things that a girl usually would look for in a relationship. So try offering a valentine's dinner to her, or to see a movie, etc. Offer these things as *friends* so she isn't nervous about the dating, but still, the more time you spend together, hopefully the more she'll realize that you're a good partner for her.
