Can virginity be proven?

Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Female
Please settle a disagreement I am having with a co-worker.
A friend said she took her daughter to the gynocologist to see if her hymen was intact and therefore a virgin. I stated that rigorous activties (such as horseback riding etc.) can sometimes dislodge the hymen result in a sort of false positive. Can a gynocologist determine virginity yes or no?

RomanceClass.com Advice
If the hymen is intact that proves she is a virgin.
If it is not intact nothing can be proven one way or the other because, as you say rigorous activity can break the hymen. So you are right.

Good luck,
George
