Friend is a lesbian

Hi I would like to thank you in advance for all the wonderful work you have done to create this site, I use it frequently. My question is that I have been friends with a girl for about two and a half monthes now and I have become quite atracted to her recently she told me she was a lesbian I am wondering what the best way to respond in this situation is thank you very much.
